Nurture Nature

By nurturing nature you are nurturing yourself


Nature and nurture are a scheme that connects people with urban parks to practice mindfulness. 

 

Nature is known to have calming effects. The beauty and serenity of nature creates a sense of peace. Spending time in nature reduces stress and mental fatigue. 

 

Nature and Nurture utilises urban environments and encourages people to reconnect and be mindful at any time. The purpose is to disconnect from technology and the stresses of life to reduce stress while reconnecting people to nature. 

 

This is a community run scheme. Nature and Nurture will promote community involvement in upkeeping and protecting local urban environments. Communities will have access to plaques that are government funding with suggestions and instructions of mindful activities that include body scan meditation, sitting meditation and walking meditation. 

 

Through the mindful activities of body scan meditation, sitting meditation and walking meditation people will become more aware of the beauty of nature and their local green spaces. We hope this scheme encourages people to keep looking after their local urban environments and nurturing nature.
