Sans-Hydro explores the absence of water in our daily consumption, revealing how our drinking habits prioritize other beverages over hydration. It not only highlights human drinking habits but also reflects on water’s essential role in sustaining the world around us. Through collective data analysis, we identified a pattern of inadequate water intake and a preference for other beverages as individuals from different parts of the world, reflecting a global trend of chronic dehydration. Inspired by this, Sans-Hydro takes an abstract approach by entirely removing water, emphasizing its often-overlooked necessity. By immersing viewers in a reality where hydration is absent, the project highlights how daily choices shape health outcomes. As water scarcity becomes a growing global concern, this work challenges audiences to reconsider their hydration habits and recognize water’s vital role in sustaining life. Sans-Hydro serves as a reminder of what is lost when we neglect the most essential element for survival.
