traces of home
Home doesn't end at our own front door, but it doesn't always begin right outside it, either. The space just beyond home can feel unfamiliar, even unsafe: a threshold we have to cross before we feel at ease again. This project explores that in-between space, and what we carry with us as we move through it.
As we venture out, we notice small traces: a gesture, an object, a moment that quietly echo the warmth of home, even in unfamiliar surroundings. These traces aren't home itself, but fragments of it: small proofs that home isn't left behind, but carried. Piece by piece, they accumulate, softening the unfamiliar and making strange places feel a little more known.
Home is not always where we stay, home lives in the traces we carry, gathered and rebuilt with every place we pass through.
