Whispers of the City

Hustling sounds are a constant of cities that fundamentally shape our experience of urban life. Our cities’ soundscapes are colorful and intricate, built from layers of a rich variation of sounds, all beautiful in their own ways. Sounds lead us through the city, shaping our comfort, stirring our anxieties, and anchoring our sense of belonging.

Our video is an exploration of how our journey through cities is guided by sounds, and how sounds steer us towards safety, community and peace in a way so subtle we might not even notice. We dove into the world of sounds that exists simultaneously with the world we experience daily, where our subconscious mind is represented as a curious circle. Through it, we explore how we subconsciously interact with and navigate the world by picking up subtle auditory cues, relying on the soundscape as our trusty guide to go on a journey and finally find a space where we belong.
